Friends1.jpgby BAMartinComment by Skip: what a magical capture, barbara. it has such a timeless feel to it. almost like, "we've waited our whole lives to be here, and it's everything we thought it would be--i'm so glad to be sharing this moment with you!" absolutely splendid! |

Shunnedby BAMartinComment by joezl: This is a great shot. Wonderful composition and great moment captured. The bright white of the man's clothing is very effective. In terms of what would have improved it IMO - (i) A greater DOF to bring the girl into greater focus and (ii) dealing with the effects of the blue cast in girl's clothes and too dark color of the scarf. These look to me like effects coming from the girl being more in the shade relative to the man.
Well done for capturing a great moment. |

Friends1.jpgby BAMartinComment by LucidLotus: I could easily see this as a cover to a greeting card on friendship. The stance is very natural, you can tell that they are good friends. The surroundings are very lovely, great colors with the flowers on the right. The inclusion of the tower at the apex of the arch is perfect, gives yet another area of interest and adds to the atmosphere. If I were to look for one thing I'd like different, it might be to have just a bit more of the top of the arch visible to give it a fullness. Perhaps some kind of light blurring to give it an even softer feel might work as well, that hazy-ish look that Barbara Walters always has.. you know? |

Friends1.jpgby BAMartinComment by buzzmom: as always your photography impresses me...the framing of the two women is so wonderful...without even seeing their faces you can tell by the way they are captured that they are amazed by what they are seeing...and through your lens we can see that is true....this is a photo filled with so many different things it is emotionally charged...
the scenery...the relationship of the women and what they are expiriencing together ...as you can tell already i love it |
