Abandoned with Cactusby BAMartinComment by Alicia: Beautifully vibrant colors! Don't you love how grass is shooting up everywhere? I'm sure people don't understand how unusual this image is. |

Alone at the Grocery Storeby BAMartinComment by karmat: Makes sense to me. What is more symbolic of childhood than those little rides outside of stores. AND, this one is unoccupied. Perhaps that guy in the upper left used to be one of those kids that never got to get the quarter to ride the little car. Maybe he is standing there sadly remembering that he never got to ride in the car.
Oh yea, the picture. I think it is very well balanced compositionally. And, while I'm glad my score was higher than yours (hahahaha), I really like this shot. The more I look at it, the more I think it is very well done, and very much under appreciated. |

Alone at the Grocery Storeby BAMartinComment by Hipychik: Nice shot Barbara. I like the sparkles on the car. It adds life to it. It's like it's saying "Come on children, look at me. I'm ready to take you for a ride." |

Abandoned with Cactusby BAMartinComment by MelonMusketeer: Pretty ground cover, and the fence is nice too. I wouldn't want to fall into that cactus while stumbling around at night. It all seems quite green for an place abandoned and in Az. There's that lovely blue sky again.

Abandoned with Cactusby BAMartinComment by riversong: Aren't you sweet!!! I love greenery and wouldn't you know I'm in snow 4 months out of the year. Are those beautiful trees, Mesquite? Don't you know this was a lovely rock house in it's day? Nice image! |

Abandoned with Cactusby BAMartinComment by MaryO: Love the stone work. Most of that green stuff is really ... green. I think you are being evil by teasing those of us in winter's frigid grasp. OK, so today it was around 50, maybe I'm overstating a bit ... winter's chilly grasp ... no, still not quite accurate ... winter's temperate grasp! |

Palm Treesby BAMartinComment by Germaine: I love those clouds -- only in Arizona. Those palm trees remind me of huge feather dusters. Great placement. |
