Sugarbeet Factoryby BAMartinComment by nikolaos: Nice b&w. I'm wodering if you could shoot that in portrait mode a little bit to the left... you would loose at leat one dumpster ... although they're not that annoying. |

Sugarbeet Factoryby BAMartinComment by Ecce_Signum: argh!!!! was late for work today cos the beet lorries closed my road for 15 minutes whilst loading.
Yup, the puddle sure helps the image with some foreground interest. I might have crouched down a little more to try and remove a little of the 'empty' middle ground? What pp'ing did you do? looks a little heavy on the shadow/highlight though it does give an interesting wash to the image.
Read a bit about it from your link in the main thread, plenty more stories to be told methinks ;) |

Brick and Brokenby BAMartinComment by jasonlprice: Lawyers offices?..Now I have the picture of a "high fa'luten" lawyer sitting in a beat factory! I love the contrast of blue and red brick and the repeating patterns. The crop seems a little tight though cutting off the pillar on the right and the window on the right. It might have been unavoidable though. Can't wait to see more of this building here and in the b/w side challenge. You could do your whole themed topic on this building! |

Warehouse Door Detailby BAMartinComment by UrfaK: you've caught a really nice part of the warehouse.. especially like the numbers.. the small details make one look from one place to another and that's what I like about pictures.. |

Sugarbeet Factoryby BAMartinComment by Melethia: I'm enjoying your explorations, Barbara. It's nice to see your view of where you are. And don't sweat the dumpsters. They're there, and they're part of the place. |

Sugarbeet Factoryby BAMartinComment by pineapple: Puddles provide repetition of element in ones picture and you remind me that they contribute greatly to a photo composition. It's hard sometimes to get the puddle to reflect what one might want it to but, like a mirrored wall in a room, it opens up an otherwise impenetrable plane. I learn something of elements available in the photographer's visual toolbox from your photo. |

Sugarbeet Factoryby BAMartinComment by Bud: Interesting image, it look antique. Take out the dumpsters and cars, and it is a 80 year old photo. |
