i n e r t i a by rooumComment by dtremain: Very uniform images in color and lightness. Not very interesting subjects on their own, but the juxtaposition of tires, potato, and shoe makes you wonder why. IMO, the potato is too far to the right of its pane. |

i n e r t i a by rooumComment by Haneck: When I first saw this it seemed wrong somehow, but the more I look at it, the more I intrigued I am. I think it has something to do with the fact that there are three completly different sized objects, and most triptychs are with equally sized stuff. I also like the quiet color tones and the shallow DOF. |

You asked that one of your shots have a comment from one of the members of the Critique Club.
This is an interesting shot. You have a very good POV going on here. The one thing that is not going for you is that it looks like a stuffed animal. One way to avoid this is to bring more life into the eyes. There is a great tutorial on how to make eyes pop in the Tutorial tab on DPC. Using some of these techniques could have made this come alive versus the dead eye stare.
HDR is meant to bring out all the hidden details that are not not easily captured in a single shot. But to be honest in this finished shot it is not showing too many more details than a one shot, shot.
Maybe some curves, selective colours would have popped the fur as well.
