Comment by Paul:
OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy). I'll be picking one of these images for my Mu (most underrated) award:

Positives: This one has my eyes dancing - the window in the centre draws the eye to begin with before it dances to the hanging door and then flits to the sign towards the bottom right. I really like the peripheral blur. The touch of brown colour in the middle is compelling too.

Critical stuff: nothing really

Overall: One of those images that is more than the sum of its part. Great stuff.

I want to just hang here for a bit, if you don't mind. Think I'll also favorite this so I can revisit.

Brave entry for the free study! The minute this one opened I was taken aback, while there's nothing obviously interesting in this scene, I actually find the shot very interesting indeed. I find myself staring into that large black square in the middle of the frame, then to the door and then back again. Very interesting!

i love the juxtaposition of the ancient landscape and modern day man-made fence. They're both in decay.
The processing is lovely as is the composition.

Comment by Melethia:
WAY cool - appears to be a person on a bench traveling along on some odd plane, constantly trying to catch up with their cup of coffee which is just beyond reach. Great use of the Lensbaby.

Glad to see that you got the PB. I figured this would be wildly underappreciated.
