sherpet's color bagby LevoyComment by OriginalTake: Quite like this, would like it even better if the colours to the right of the buckle jumped out more, maybe a different lighting position is required? |

Frozen in 1970's Winterby LevoyComment by schwartzc: The price of gas is upsetting in the picture, but otherwise, nice juxtaposition of the bright orange snow blower with the clear asphalt. |

King Kongby LevoyComment by sailracer_98: I'm not getting much "film noir" vibe here. The lighting is too flat and lacks interesting shadows. |

King Kongby LevoyComment by Rodert: Feels like a bit of a stretch to imply that this guy is sitting atop buildings... 5 |

King Kongby LevoyComment by Hussar1812: I gave this a 2 for several reasons and here is why: 1. The image is poorly composed (the leaves in the lower left corner are distracting as is the light wooden pole behind the gorilla and the top black portion). 2. The subject is not sharp / in focus. Besides the subject being severely underexposed there is nothing which suggests Noir lighting style. No shadow/light play, etc. 3 Finally, King Kong was not a Noir film and thus I believe this image DNMC. In summary, I gave this a low vote because I don't think this image took a lot of thought / effort nor conveyed the mood of the challenge topic. |
