People are living thereby andrewmComment by mjcecil: I am sure there is a reason the shanties got cut off at the level they did. I think less sky would be a little more effective, but not too much less. Colors are snappy, as is focus and contrast. Good job. 8 |

People are living thereby andrewmComment by karmat: The expanse of the sky makes this little shanty feel even more small and insignificant. I think though, that the blue makes it a little more cheerful than you are trying to portray. How did it work in black and white? Or did it? karmat |

People are living thereby andrewmComment by scheherazade: I like this because of personal memories it evokes for me, but I feel like the photo doesn't make good use of the negative space here. everything at the bottom just seems sort of crammed whiel the top seems like a waste. |

People are living thereby andrewmComment by lmhr: nice photo. i think the title is a bit much, too tragic for my taste. i would've gone for a more sensible one. anyway this is about photos not titles so, good photo :) |

People are living thereby andrewmComment by KarenB: Nice shot. I wonder (being the biggest non-expert this side of voting for this challenge) if this subject matter would be best portrayed filling the entire frame, and NS not used in this instance? e.g. is NS used "properly" here? The over-crowding of the inhabitants here is lost a bit as the open sky gives the appearance of, well, space... of which there isn't any of in reality. Clear colors, vivid. Will score now and revisit later, so watch this comment in case I decide to add more later in the week. |
