Great spider picture. The problem here is the challenge is "Straight" But the web is out of focus. More DoF or focus on the web and kick off the (REALLY REALLY REALLY )ugly spider.

A bit too noisy in the shadows (HDR will do that... I'm assuming it's HDR... it looks like it's HDR...), and the "X" IS kind of twisted. Nice colors in the sky, and the red is sexy. 6

IMHO this is great photography and I would have given in to the temptation to enter it too BUT the focus of your subject(spider) aren not straight lines. The web has straight lines but is not the subject. A real pity because in another challenge I would have voted 8 but I cannot on this pic therefore I'd rather not vote. ( I cannot give you a low score either!)

A bizarre angle and aptly named photo. I'm getting some noise on my side and I don't really see a true 'X' or '+' but I know it's there. I should score it a 9 but I'm going with 10 'cause is so unusual to me.
