It is sad to contemplate how very much this photograph IS the spirit of a country. War is, unfortunately, an equal opportunity destroyer. This is beautifully captured as we need to always remember those who have given up their ultimate on behalf of others. Great capture as several of the headstones are quite readable & tell a story of their own.

Great image and composition. My 1st impression was the first gravestone with an italian name that cause a little confusion, but the US flags cleared things up. The image quality could be a little sharper/clearer

The flags are the only clue to the country being referenced. I also wonder how death is the spirit of the USA? This does say something about Americans if this is true. Sorry, DNMC IMO.

Careful of the sky - blown out all over the place. Using a grad nd filter could help with that.
