Really like this one. The post processing is a little heavy, something I normally don't like, but it really works for this image. Whatever was done the left leg of the statue facing the viewer looks cartoonish but I really like it here. Especially when it's contrasted against the grainy terrain.

I know what an impasse is, however I do not understand your question so cannot give a yes or no response.
I know that there was nothing you could do about it, but that column keeps drawing my eye, perhaps because it is the lightest part of your composition.
