In-Room Curlsby mm767capComment by mm767cap: Thank you senor_kasper. I'm not sure the image deserves your kindness, but I'll accept it gratefully! I lit this in my bedroom with 2 strobes. There really isn't any ambient light to speak of in this shot. Main light was camera right through an umbrella. The other light is behind me (subject) and the chair, shooting into the background, which is a hanging white sheet. I have a grand total of about 10' to work with between camera and back wall, so there just isn't enough room to really maneuver - hence the foot getting cut off and the blown out highlights. When I had the background strobe on a lower power setting, you could see the wrinkles in the sheet, and I couldn't move far enough forward to compensate for the need to blow such harsh light on the background. I just ran out of time to solve the problem for basic editing, so I just went with what I had. Hopefully someday I'll get a little more space and I can set up a better lighting solution!
Thanks again for the comment! |
