I think you need a little work on setting the exposure for flash and ambient light. I have found the easiest way is to first set the exposure so the sky either with exposure lock or manual mode. Then set the flash level via manual settings. Hope this helps.

Too cute! Image is a little flat, though. I dropped it into my photo editor and found a quick levels adjustment was all it needed to really pop off the screen.
