I think getting away from the cat, and shooting at eye level of the cat would have been more effective. I find that especially with pet pictures, being on the same eye level makes a huge difference.
Still, the photo is orange, it is in focus, and the composition is interesting.

not liking the downward angle of the shot or the lighting and shadows on the hand. The leaves in the background running through the hand hurt this as well. Comes off as a casual snapshot without much thought behind it.
