Well, this did alot better than i thought! It was a last minute idea, it's a clock that was made for my dad's birthday by one of his friends and was taken with it still on the wall and with full flash (hence the harsh lighting and shadows that were mentioned).
I thought this fit the challenge title 'round' quite well, as it was both a clock and a record. I think if it was just a picture of a record as suggested it would've had less character and scored far less.
Thankyou to everyone who voted, and i'm very grateful for the comments that were left.

Great idea to desaturate - a lot of people seem to do it when there is only 1 main colour to show off but this is a nice change. I wonder, would a pulled-back shot including more of the street be a good entry for a "my country" challenge, given it can't be anywhere but the grotty old, the great old UK? - 8

Is that a record? I have heard of those but have never seen one. LOL. The digital age has thrown me into a Time warp. LOL good job I would usually say that the light is harsh but I think that is what makes this shot work. Have a wonderful day.
