i don't find the person behind grey man distracting, because of the depth of field. but i would play with saturation anyway, maybe reduce greens/yellows but looking at this it will be b/w if you do that.

But the one thing I really wanted to comment on is how you captured the smoke from the cigarette in the upper left on the photo. I think that is really cool and you may lose that if you go and turn this image to B&W. The Eyes of the man also tell alot . Maybe try selective desaturation. of the background instead of B&W. This is a great shot, I dont want to see any of the detail lost to a conversion.

awesome thanks for the story behind the image.. I somehow think something would be lost if you went black and white.. mainly the eyes.. but it would be interesting to play with and see. I love that kind of street preformance.. such talent. Message edited by author 2006-10-20 02:02:32. |
