First among its qualities is the fact that it is a
photograph – that it is an object in its own right, rather than just a picture of something. That's hard to do in this digital age because unless you print it, it's not really a physical thing at all. But this photograph manages to breach that limitation.
I'm being obtuse, probably. I mean that most pictures of girls are just that; an image of the girl. It's a way that a viewer remote in space and time can experience the girl. Usually in the DPC context, however, the photographer is primarily showing off their technique. So their real motivation is that the viewer can experience the
photographer. "Stunning picture; you're amazing!" Like that.
But in your picture, you aren't a presence at all, which just goes to show what a very good photographer you must be.
So, your photograph isn't so that we can experience you. But I go a step further: your photograph isn't so that we can experience the girl, either. Your photograph is so that we can experience
