In the ratings pass, this reviewer was uncomfortable rating this image - there are several levels of impact here which change every time it's viewed. After six views and a close inspection of the image, this reviewer has to rerate it from a 6 to a 9 because it has the technical quality one looks for in a high rated image even if it isn't as effective from an artistic standpoint - it lacks that certain "something" that makes it standout. It's still a cut above the highly rated images in this challenge. While not exactly a ribbon contender, this should place well in the challenge.

The focus is definitely on the sharp end of the tack but, IMO, the head of the pin takes up too much of the picture to be so blurry. Maybe would have been better to take the picture form a different angle.
