i dont really understand what is meant by balance, so i have just been looking at this as a free study, that being said, this strikes me as more of almost an abstract than being out of balance, but the colors are nice

I thought you said this was doing poorly. Check your commenter average! And it placed very well percentage wise. Maybe not as high scorewise but voters in general aren't big fans of shooting into the sun. I still think this is a great shot.
