Holiday Leftoverby PennyStreetComment by jotaga: Nice picture!
I like the balance between the vibrant colors and the dark house with the blurred naked trees. Looks like some fight between good and evil...
Considering the date of the picture and the title, i think that any DNMC thoughts were unfair. This image deserved a better place on the challenge, definitely.
I would just crop a little on the right to put the house more to the rule of thirds, but no big deal.
Congrats! |

IRISby PennyStreetComment by Lydia: I like this one... and the ant. The strong diagonals with the strong vertical are cool.

Sunbathingby PennyStreetComment by J-Me: Love this one! Seems more like a Bresson photograph than a DPC photograph which makes it GREAT! :) |

Sunbathingby PennyStreetComment by Melethia: Now THIS is a wonderful "in the style of" or homage to Monsieur Cartier-Bresson. A simple moment in time. Busy. But oh so serene when one joins in with the foremost subject, who in her mind, appears to be all alone there in her chair, soaking up the rays, the grass, the air - enjoying the silence, though it probably isn't silent... So serene. But there are other stories, too. Where do the chairs come from? Are they first come first served? Do people bring their own? What's to the left, the direction several of the others are looking to? And all done in a very classic feeling rich B&W. |

Light Pinkby PennyStreetComment by dswann: This is gorgeous. The detail in the translucent petals is awesome. Great job getting the green in the leaves properly exposed also. I have never been able to get a good image of dogwood blooms, but you have shown me the way now! Congrats on the top 10! |
