A good demonstration of how lighting can be used to create a special effect - it matches the challenge in every respect because both the subject and the lighting is used in a creative fashion to capture a mood piece that, while not in rare terrority, it at least a cut above other entries. This image sparks the imagination which is what lighting is all about. Well done.

I know this is a hard capture to get and maybe that's why it doesn't work for me. It's not as sharp as you'd want it also seems like the challenge is not being met. If the birds are the texture, they aren't taking enough of the frame up. It feels more like you tried meeting the challenge with a shot you liked versus finding a photo that met the challenge.
