A 30-Year Old Game

Comment by JulietNN:
Hi from the C Club,

this is certainly a fun game, my kids have something familiar to it.

As a photograph, it is pretty good.

It is sharp on the outside edges, the black and white conversion is good. Having it at this angle, i think that you should have made sure it was completely in the center, you have more bottom that top.

I can not see anyting that you could have done in PP to improve this shot, well done!

I love the shallow depth of field, and the picture is very sharp but it just doesn't "speak" to me or tell me a story.

I like the color/subject, it's composed well and nice DOF, but not so sure about the background.

Nice view point and use of DOF. I like all the metallics details. Not sure if cutting off the bottom work for me. I think you need to either crop off more or show the whole thing.

Hello JulietNN,

The challenge is "Life & Death". In my photo, at the background are blocks of flats for the living; at the foreground, on the right side, are cemeteries for the dead. That's why I titled my photo, "Life and Death on Earth". I was trying to show the "intertwined concepts" in this image :)

Hi from the C Club.

I think I must be missing something as I am not seeing the relevance of your shot to the challenge description. Can you let me know?

Your shot seems a little over sharpened and there is some grain in the clouds. Your colours are good.

Please drop me a line so I can see your perspective on this and talk about it more

Very nice soothing photo. Muted blues give a calming effect.
