Endless Chaos by scrum8Comment by obstetrify: There is a strange kind of order about 'insect' chaos. They seem to know where they are going. Stand in theier way at your peril. |

Endless Chaos by scrum8Comment by Imagineer: But as we all know - there is order within! Love ants. I would have liked maximum DOF in this though to further emphasise the mass of writhing bodies. Perhaps a more overhead view would offer the sense of infinity suggested by your title. |

Zooom!by scrum8Comment by scrum8: Dibutil, Thanks for your comments. The motion blur wasn't as obvious as I wanted, and I didn't like the background either, but I liked everything else about the picture, so I submitted. I think I'm going to try some different things with the background and maybe have it printed as a keeper. My performance for Feb and Mar is a bit inconsistent, but I think is starting to stabilize. I have three photos in challenges right now and two are 6.3+ and the other is still above my current average. Thanks again. |

Endless Chaos by scrum8Comment by ozdick: A nice shot - but perhaps could have been enhanced, by one ant on the leaf, which we could focus our attention on |

Zooom!by scrum8Comment by Dibutil: Come on, I put this one at the first place in my voting and alas...
My opinion is as such:
1. The background is irrelevant - the expression on the face cost a milion!
2. Motion blur + DOF but I still see the motion!
3. I don't need to see even a bit more in the frame - I am perfectly aware that she is riding a bike, I would even dare to guess the phase of the pedals at this moment as well as the height difference between the seat and handles! (not that I am a pro biker, just some experience)
Scrum, do not get disappointed, you are the best no matter what! (and definitely better than me in the same challenge ;-))) |

Fat & Sassyby scrum8Comment by BobsterLobster: Nice character shot, nice and sharp, effective dof. Some great textures. Composition works well. Tricky shot to expose for, nicely handled here. Not entirely sure about your border, I think a better one could have bumped this up a mark for me. |
