Paul, this is a fantastic capture showing the two opposites in one frame - life in the sea and life on the land. There is the carefree joy/freedom that is expressed in the 'citizens' of both these worlds. The B&W tones are just fantastic and shows us these two 'worlds' that are separate, but can co-exist in harmony side by side.
