I've come back to this several times - first time I didn't like it, second time I saw somethings that I liked and the third time, I'm torn between bad and just ok. I'm going to opt for ok because I hate being negative without being constructive. I think I understand what the author was going for here but, not to put too fine a point on it, it isn't quite there. The foreground creates a different impression than the background and now that I think about it, it might have made for a much more impactful image if the top third was cropped out - the result would have been much more meaningful and have significantly more impact. A little lighter on the contract would also have helped the foreground. Sorry for this being so long, but the image had a great deal of potential to my way of thinking.
