Nice capture.. a tad oversharpened. There are white halos arund the edges. Good job capturing it in flight.

Yup, you certainly used the LB to its full potential here Paul. That said I think you'd get a great underexposed shot here as well - spooky. Welcome to the LB gang.

Good detail for a non-macro. Very shiny eyes, I must say. I like the amount of detail vs. motion blur you captured.

Good sense of scale. They stand (or sit) in stark contrast to the towering trees.

Comment by Teafran:
Another image in which the author recognized a very private and candid moment. Using the natural setting to frame the subject, it conveys an impression of a comfortable couple reviewing their world. The very competant conversion to B&W is a technical plus over coming some minor issues with distracting background which might have been better treated with a more vague approach. Having said that, this would not have been as effective as a color image so the issue is mute. An excellant piece of photo journalism which should place well if not a ribbon contender. Well done.

Being able to see their facial expressions would have been more dramatic and interesting.

Many thanks for the critique; I hadn't really noticed the low scores but I can see there are a few.

For the record, this image is still in validation so I'm pretty sure none of the scores will stay permanent.

Thanks again

Paul
