love the way the nose looks so big and the shadows from the hair are great.

I dunno, I thought this was damn cool! The lighting and tones are great. I think maybe the Gatorade thing was lost on some folks maybe because I think this is way better than a 5.5. (and I'm not just saying that to be a suck up either) ;-)

Nice shot, but there's no wow factor for me here since this kind of image is done to death on DPC. I originally gave you a 5, but on second look I can't really justify that compared to the competition so bumping you up to a 6

Greetings from the Critique Club.

Frankly, I am struggling to critique this.

On the one hand, I am in awe of the site and the community you have created here.

On the other, I don't like the photo so much. Technically it is virtually perfect. I like the emotion in the eyes. It feels like "you against the world." But I can't imagine a reason to take it other than as a technical exercise. I have started a number of businesses, and have often felt the 'green goo" of criticsm and doubt. Maybe this is what you're getting at. I can resonate with that.

On rereading this, it is probably useless to you as a critique. Sorry. My admiration of you may well be getting in the way.
