Ah..yes..the image of pirates gold in a treasure chest is a fitting interpretation of the challenge theme too. And you have done so in a beautifully crafted shot.

You captured this moment as a visual explosion of flapping, flashing wings and feathers. Works like a charm in black and white and the little spot of red from the center gull's ( not sure if they are gulls) beak and feet adds just that extra little bit of contrast.

This is a real "WOW" shot for me. I just love the profusion of color that the background is made up of and the way the bird and the branch it is perched upon is set off against it.
