I recently saw a video of a performance by witches: the ladies marched past the camera for several minutes - it must have been a huge event. Each of them was very elaborately and imaginatively dressed with colorful skirts, hats and sticks - it was a real delight to see. Maybe your witch was there too?
In any case, I really like your shot, the little wrinkles that indicate a full life. The branch is not distracting at all, you actually need it for the context.
