ok, this is technical..but I would have cloned out the little twigs in the top of this picture. For me you have a wonderful capture but it is dull in tone...when you convert to B&W if you push your Hue & Saturation more it will help to richen up your tones alot. I just happen to love the very richly toned pictures.

it seems to me that this is just a "little dull/flat" in the colors/tones. I'm not saying to push it over the top...just that is could look more alive in the color

for me this appears to be taken at the height of the day (full brilliant sun) and I think that a gradient would improve this alot...you background seems to have lost alot of details
