love the colors and the focus on this (could have been a touch sharper although)...but to me it isn't macro enough...if you could have gotten in on the branch with the leading lines of the plant...that would have been excellent

I know it has been bouncing around that to be abstract it has to be "unidentifable" and to an extent I agree...IMO your shot is excellent, I personally would have focused in on only the "fluffy" stuff thus...making it a bit more obscure

excellent idea...you will have to remember this for "numbers", love the texture and the lines, but IMO it is not "abstract" enough to me...sorry

you have the right idea here...but if you had gotten much, much closer to the curves and the brilliant colors getting a very tight focus...and cropping out all the rest of this piece you would have done very well with the scoring, this has all the elements you need for abstract...you might not have the right lens to do this??

first off I want to say this is a good photo...but a couple of things made me vote it down (you got a 5 from me) it is to centered, and for that matter I personally would have cropped the heck out of this...to give those abstract lines that blend and meld together so that the shape of the flower is obscured...anyway it is just my opinion...sorry
