I immediately like this for its overall design - I like the soft colours and all the shapes. Then there is so much to maintain interest as I explore all the little details, some quite visible, others barely discernible. Oh, and that steam pouring from the chimney - marvelous translucence at the bottom before it becomes opaque, sort of the opposite of what I'd expect.

Great capture, and thanks for sharing the interesting story. That birds are the descendants of dinosaurs is so very apparent in the chick to the left. It looks so much like dinosaurs of the raptor class. The magpie would be right at home in my garden but I'm not familiar with storm birds - maybe too cold for them down south.
