Number 86by jhomrighausComment: Nice panning. At the speeds he was going, I bet it too more than a few shots.
I like the wide-screen presentation too. |

Weatheredby neilvanComment: Uniquely colored considering the nature of the scene. We're presented with these old, dilapidated textures, but then hit in the face with bright pinks and oranges. It's stunning in its decay. |

Barn Owlby andrewtComment: A nice static shot of an owl, but not much more in my eyes. |

Curiousby JacksonGarietyComment: You've curiously left too much white spce behind her, shunting the action of the scene to the corner of the frame. Your angle also means part of her face is unnecessarily blocked in this case. Shooting from a higher angle, and making sure your framing allows us to see as much of the action of the shot as possible would have improved this. |

Aaa...hhh!by bnileshComment: The loss of the pupils in the eyes due to the high mirror effect kind of renders this photo a little eerie. Other than tha, it's nice shot |

Dappled Afternoonby Donna21Comment: While I'm sure this scene was very nice to behold in person, it has lost a lot in transition to this photo. Lighting is overly bright, the tree branch hanging down in the upper corner is a major distraction, the background is too clear and distracting due to clutter, and the pose of the horses isn't particularly exciting, what with one being half hidden by the other, so we're just presented with it's behind (and not in any real artistic manner either).
Perhaps you were stuck shooting this from behind a fence, or had some other barrier, I don't know, but another angle was definitely needed for this to be a real contender in a Free Study, especially so soon after having a "horses" challenge, which have saturated the voters' views of horses for the time being. |
