shadowmanby desertoddityComment: Highlights are blown, noise everywhere, horizon is tilted...
but this shot gets high marks and is simply gorgeous nonetheless. |

Finding Determinationby njsabsComment: I like this shot more and more every time I see it. There's drama, yet it is subtle enough that it doesn't take over the shot. The use of the DOF is exquisite. (and I'm in trouble in Shallow DOF IV if shots like this are the norm there). Wonderful, wonderful non-classic portrait. |

VvrrrooooooomM!by timwest167Comment: This is such a fun shot, I keep coming back to it. Driving fast down a road like this in a car like that would freak the hell out of me. |

On the wavesby La_DamaComment: This has a feeling to it of over-sharpening due to focus or camera-movement issues. |

San Francisco Summerby EstimatedEyesComment: I'm not really feeling the choice of sepia toning her. Fog is cool and damp, sepia toning is warm. There's a conflict there |

Lilyby robstComment: Silky smooth pretty much everywhere until you hit the shadows of the yellow, and then bang, hit by some pretty prominent grain/noise. While this wouldn't be a major issue in many other pictures, the contrast between it and the almost unnatural smoothness of the white is a shame. |

Comfortby ErinKirstenComment: Cute and classic newborn shot. Lacks any really extra punch for DPC though, I imagine. |

Goldby HaneckComment: Not a bad use of selective desat, but the subject remains just too far away. |

Boon Hall Plantationby mgarsteckComment: Interesting choice for a B&W conversion here. The toning is nice for the most part (some harsh blow-outs in the grass). Composition is classic. Something about this just cries out for color though. |
