Emissionby tateComment: The duality of human existence. We create waste, which then makes gorgeous colors. Just brilliant. |

_DSC2003.jpgby rjksteschComment: I think a compromise between this and the winning shot lighting. But of course, it WON, so who am I to say :-) |

Winter Day Beginsby kibbsComment: Magnificent shot. If voters are into landscapes for this challenge, this should place in the top 10. Wonderful thirds, opposites (soft clouds, hard pier), shapes (opposing triangle-like shapes in the clouds and pier), and the perfectly counterpointed sun and person. Superbly done. The only detraction for me are the reflected light specks on the pier below the sun. Although the color works, and it helps define the edge, they look added, or fake somehow. |

Beginning of Fireby kwiktorComment: Best lighting on the match of the matchsticks so far. Don't know why the flame looks like it's behind the match head, although it has wonderful colors. Also, the spots surrounding the flame are really distracting, looking more like dust and noise than any throwoff from the combustion. |

First Loveby JudiComment: Nice studio shot. But what's with the uneven nails????? The PP effect is very interesting. Would love to know how you did it. |

Combustion Beginningby rio78Comment: Hmmmm... This shot has the opposite issues that the other match shot does. It's a bit dark, and the flame is oddly dull. I wish you had used a different colored match head for more contrast, but the lighting on the stick is good. |
