Is it weird that ubique wrote down what I was thinking???? (Hey you, get out of my head!) Like him and Bear_Music, I also thought those were people, gathered for sunset watching, and the group got distracted, chatting away about the meaning of life and the merits of soy chai lattes, while the one guy stood because he was the only one to notice that the evening was dying in the blossoming colors of the waning sun.

I also thought that leaf was some tiny bird perched on the side of the center branch...

You definitely accomplished your goal. The greenish hue to the sky is very reminiscent of 19th century paintings of this genre.

One of the things I like best about your work is that it makes me stop and search - both the image, and myself. I don't always "get" your images, but they're always a treat to look at.

Compositionally, this is a very intriguing image. But I feel there is a lack of light which makes the who picture seem flat.
