Stunning. And I'm laughing bc the mantis seems to be posing - America's Next Top Model?? LOL! Although in this image, he seems almost incidental. I had no idea they came in so many colors!

Great detail and energy, but could have used a bit of bounced light.

I am so frustrated by this image. The wall is sensational. Incredible detail, colors, and visually very interesting. The model, however...

I can't help but look at this through my director eyes. As the main subject, her pose is awkward, but worse, uninhabited. There is no energy flowing out of her, either towards the camera, into the sword, anywhere. There is simply no intention. While we can't help it if a model lacks talent, as photographers there are things we can do to make it appear like they do. And why choose such an excellent backdrop if there is no interaction with it? It's like two images in one, and neither is supporting the other.

Also, I think the low vantage point is not the best choice here. It requires that you include a healthy portion of the rather uninteresting ground. And from a story pov, it doesn't inform the image. On the other hand, if this had been taken from a higher pov looking slightly downward, it might have created a David and Goliath dynamic, and the wall would have had a purpose for being there.

Take all this with a grain of sand. Or salt. :-)

I came back and bumped this up because I kept thinking about it. Every time I wanted to move on, something else emerged from the blur to capture my attention. Great street scene candid.

Sensational architectural abstract. Gorgeous light, lines, shapes. Very rich tonal range, and a sense of beckoning. Hope you'll share where this is.

Fabulous, although there is some ghosting around the balloons from one of your processing steps (not sure which, since I'm only just learning myself). Excellent composition, and wonderful contrasts. And I really love the sun, which seems to be beckoning to the balloon on the right. The balloon is torn between staying with its partner, and embarking on a journey of mystery and light.

Ok, I haven't had breakfast yet... Also, I didn't see the sun until halfway through writing this, and I don't think the image even needs it. Although cropping it out would completely invalidate half my comment.

Ok, now I'm just rambling.
