Eye "Q" by MatthewComment: Very nice image and congrats on the win! I'd like to see a study (over a weekend or so, a few hours every evening) of what time and what location the flashes went off at. I would think that they most often go off round sunset, and as your shot shows, at the top of the wheel. Well done! |

Flock Together by ZoomdakComment: Thanks for all your votes and comments! I find it interesting that this image would almost score as high as some other shots that I prize much higher (it beat out 'Cannon Beach' and was a short ways from beating out 'Adrift'). But I guess that is the nature of the website, that the photo is creative, and meets the crazy challenge rules. In my own opinion, this isn't that great of a shot, it is just alot different from other shots in the challenge.
As far as setting up and taking it, the hardest part wasn't the shoot, it was probably my dad having to go and get everything. The photoshoot only lasted 5 minutes. I took 23 images in that time, only 7 with the flash on, and only one of those only had five grapes. I think this is one of the craziest shoots I've been on, and it was a ton of fun to do. |

The Lone Cypressby gaurawaComment: I looks as though a line is attatched to the tree and going down to the right. What is that?
Beautiful shot though |

Chairman of the Boredby ZoomdakComment: Soft focus I did was creating a new (non-adjustment) layer, setting low opacity and gassian bluring it.
Rules state:
Layers: Only Adjustment Layers (or the non-Photoshop equivalent) may be used. An Adjustment Layer is one that does not contain any pixel data, but rather is a special, non-image layer that lets you experiment with color and tonal adjustments to an image without permanently modifying the pixels. Adjustment Layers must be applied in Normal mode. All other types of layers (including those that contain pixel data or masks) and all other blending methods (modes) are prohibited. Changing the opacity of an Adjustment Layer is permitted. |
