Long Exposure of a Waterfall by AllenPComment: In my experience it is quite rare to capture the grandeur of such a scene but you've done it. The trees help the scale but I think it's the light and well managed processing to let it glow, so to speak, that makes it work. The long exposure and misty air add an atmospheric perspective that clinches it. Nearly a perfect 10. |

Ominous encounterby markwileyComment: Spot on execution with no observable processing artifacts in spite of impossibly difficult lighting. Strong image and my pick to take blue. |

Going Rogueby HighNoonerComment: I'm giving this gritty, atmospheric shot a 6 in spite of the elegent, drawing room border which I find to be absolutely out of place. |

Midnight Wineby kawesttexComment: So much potential just misses. The excess space around the subject really diminishes its impact as does its slightly off-centered comp. Possible remedy: crops off both sides and comp centered on the tip of his nose. I wanted to give a 9 for beautiful tones and the purest silhouette in the challenge, but sorry just a 7. |

Time to go home...my friend.by galatia_nComment: You made me almost break my back to confirm that this is a very attractive shot with wonderful tones and repetitive textures in a minimalist spirit. But upside down it is quite disorienting in an unpleasant way. |

Late Day Bloomerby tvsometimeComment: Originally posted by mike_311: great picture, however it doesn't indicate it was taken at sunset. |
Thanks. There wasn't much of a sunset but the shadows on the right should be a clue to the time of day - color, too very warmish as just before sundown. |
