I have to think this is about more than food and the rolling pin seems throw out a hint. Or at least a challenge about what we think about the production of food. Maybe the heavy rolling pin was used to crack the head of the lamb to get at the rack. Maybe not but knowing you, there is more to this than meets the eye - so to speak. Nicely photographed using that articulated screen on the G12.

I'm enjoying this as a stage piece - on a plate no less. Pun notwithstanding, there is a somber side of the fallen manderin and conspiratorial group. Compositional instability adds some tension.

The problem with "objects" like this is they're difficult to keep clean and what we have is rust streaks adding contrasting color. Hmmm. Maybe it was planned for. That would be odd indeed.

Snow? Looks like some velvety fabric. Or neither. I love the sense of floating, amorphously rendered shapes and shadows - for lack of better words to describe what we see here. The apparent texture gives this a more tangile quality than most of your images.
