A Clockwork Orangeby emoonsComment: I don't think I like the literal interpretation of the title but I have to admit I smiled. |

Lord of the Fliesby jaysonmcComment: They seem a bit younger than I remember but otherwise it captures a mood of unsupervised activity in the woods, which fits. Visually the image is well executed and composed. The light is wonderfully captured. |

The Secret Gardenby giantmikeComment: Nice try with bright and natural color and good framing. What it lacks is any association with the story as far as I can see. 5 |

The Prophetby jagarComment: Don't remember much of this but the image evokes a sense of wonderment in the search for knowledge and enlightenment in the teachings of a prophet. The shot is cleverly constructed to that purpose. 6 |

The House of the Seven Gablesby vawendyComment: It's a nice find and well photographed, but seems a bad fit for the chosen novel. It has the period costume and furnishings, but none of the gloomy mood. I give high points for technical proficiency though. 6 |

"Please Sir, I want some more"by Shifty_PowersComment: A famous quote risks letdown when the image doesn't fit. Here the hands lack the wear and tear of an urchin, and without a suitable face or at least some hint of one, the image is incomplete. Nice try with the bowl and hands which might be enough for some viewers. 5 |

'Something Wicked This Way Comes' by Ray Bradburyby IAmEliKatzComment: Quite a challenge to take on this story. But as I remember reading the lurking terror, this is not a bad representation of what was in the minds of the kids. The darkness and grassy background are appropriate, and the vaguely articulated figure seems quite appropriate. 6 |

Wuthering Heights, a dark and ugly placeby AmmieComment: I think of Wuthering Heights as a moldering old mansion; so this doesn't quite fit. However, the stonework is nicely detailed, the color is natural except for the sky, and the composition is good and tight the way I like it. Overall for the topic: 5 |
