cheersby bmartuchComment: Textbook example of how to use a fisheye to exaggerate perspective. Very good. |

IMG_2576edby markwileyComment: The unopened buds in the background add a nice touch of context to this shot and serve as something to break up the nearly uniform green of the background. Good job. |

Gazania rigensby tomeComment: Agree on this being a pretty great example SFC. The color on them looks quite unreal, like they were painted. |

Wildflowersby ShutterPugComment: Feels very much like a painting due to the creamy background and the way the petals lack texture. I really like the cool background colors on the right hand side. |

Beanieby ShutterPugComment: Now pugs, on the other hand, have a face much better suited to head on shots as you can easily carry depth through their flat faces ;0
Nice composition on this one, as well. |

Waldoby ShutterPugComment: lol @ monopoly dog.
I'd definitely stop down on this one if possible. While the eyes are in focus, they're such a small portion of this photo that the lack of depth is really apparent. Then again, I know how thin it is with a lens like this and a moving pet, so it's certainly no easy task. |

May 07 - Cute cootsby hajekaComment: Cool looking little birds with their orange ruffs. Manual focus is a struggle most anytime, but especially with a huge tele like the one you're sporting.
Wildlife are definitely one segment that benefits hugely from cropping, since it's often so difficult to get close enough (even with a 500mm) without some stealthy lurking. Even so, I think that while cropping would have strengthened this by focusing more on the birds, it isn't absolutely critical. |

Day 1by colorcarnivalComment: Very tantalizing! I thought there would be a way to make the camera register where the ring was set so it would register aperture, but after some perusing, I couldn't find one. With my Nikon, it takes some finagling in menus but it can be done, so perhaps there's hope.
The strawberries really do look quite juicy and succulent though, tempting me to pick them up; good stock potential. |

Hibiscusby CuttoothComment: Really cool effect with the depth of field on this one. It almost looks as though the flower petals were a separate photo and the stamens bursting forth like a firework. |

Day 2by mrchhasComment: I have a sneaking suspicion that this would work very well as a texture, if you enjoy that sort of editing. The washed out blacks do give it quite a bit of a nostalgic film feel. |
