Morning Jogger on the Bridgeby markwileyComment: This is exactly the sort of thing I wanted for us all to get out of the challenge- seeing a scene, having whatever lens it is that we have with/on us, and making something possible of a fleeting moment because we are acquainted with our system.
Excellent. |

Street Challengeby novaComment: I climb so this is a standard training technique I'm well aware of.
But, on this, I venture to guess that her expression would have made for a great shot, as well, though you wouldn't want to pester her and I understand being timid about street shots (I'm the same way). |

Bearinger Buildingby bmartuchComment: Fire proof but not recession proof, evidently.
I might have tried stepping up a bit closer and getting closer to the ground, but this still works very well. Do you have any intention of shooting cars (particularly classic ones) during this SC? I could see that working well... |

UAby tomeComment: Nice take on an oft-visited subject matter. I like all the different colors of the windows, but also the reflection and the irregular windows sprinkled in, as well. |

witheredby ShutterPugComment: A bud going to seed? Is this fully 1:1? I'd consider having it fill the frame more. |

Simonby ShutterPugComment: After now seeing the second one, I agree with hajeka that a diptych might be neat with these two.
ETA: Though I'd try to match the color temp/exposure a bit more closely if I were to do so. Message edited by author 2012-05-09 05:50:27. |

May 08 - Deep reflectionby hajekaComment: Might you have considered letting your ISO stay down a bit and getting some blur induced by the shutter speed/long lens?
The shapes in the water are interesting... I can't really figure out what they are... lilypads perhaps? Like a liquid Rorschach test. |

La pousetteby jagarComment: I agree about the processing- there's a very definitive look to all your BW shots. Here, the vignette does much of the heavy lifting visually. Also, good timing photographing her right as she was crossing the light colored pillar. A bit earlier or later and she would have blended into the background, but this was dead on. |

Day 3by mrchhasComment: lol I was going to say, This is bigger in the frame than when I shoot with my 500mm! :)
Still, nice details, particularly on the trailing edge, considering how healthy of a crop was needed. |
