Go-Kart Action

Excellent pan. The details on the shifter cart and the driver are excellent, and the rest is given more than enough blur to imply some speed. Nice job.

The infamous water drop :)
You might get hit hard for doing one of the cliche's of DPC, but your approach is nice in that it keeps things simple. To nitpick, the top drop doesn't seem as sharply focused as the other two. The line of three drops is very nice, and a departure from the usual one or two or strange water shape. Nice take on a DPC classic subject; you've executed well.

Perhaps it's just me, but it almost seems as though I can see a slight wrinkle in the background, just to the right of the subject's eye. Hair is a tad disheveled, and some might consider cloning out some of the stray hairs, but I think they add some character and life to the portrait. What kind of baby has immaculately prepared hair, anyway? Good expression and detail/focus. Eyes have good color, but might use a small pop to bring them out a little bit more, but things are still good how they are. Good portrait.

I've never actually tried smoke trails before, but rumor has it they can be a bit frustrating. This is an alright shot, but it doesn't scream anything to me, it fails to connect on some level, which I think is important. Things seem a smidge grainy but that could just be me.

I like this one quite a bit. Nice, dynamic sky, with a wide range of luminance (yet no clipping). Additionally, the bright colors accent things well. I like how you have captured the dichotomy of the weather, illustrating not only the turbulent stormy type, but also the calm sunset people generally associate with the beach.

The detail in the feathers is exceptional, but there are a couple things in the composition that I'm not so sure about. The tail feather appears to be clipped a bit, and I'd like to have the breast of the gull against a background that doesn't so nearly blend into it tone wise.

Stream

Stream

Comment:
As another user said, the stream needs to be emphasized more. I think lowering your POV a bit would help with this, and perhaps aiming your camera such that the stream disappears into the edge of either the right or the left would help. Bring the stream into more of a primary role. A longer shutter speed with higher aperture would help this as well, especially since you had the room to do so. The water would take on a more silky look instead of being so transparent.

Comment:
Not sure why, but it seems as though you've lost a bit of detail on this one. Perhaps it's because your aperture is wide open; maybe stop down a couple steps.

Screaming Eagle

Screaming Eagle

Comment:
Bird captures are really tough. Between lugging a gigantic lens around and their flighty nature, it's difficult to get the composition one wants. You got a bit of action here with the screech, but I feel like the moment the eagle lighted or landed from its perch would have had a far stronger impact, which is crucial to Free Studies. Nice detail on the bird though.

Comment:
Nice city scene. Quite a few people out despite the weather. I'm left wondering a bit on what the key subject is in the scene though; what should the viewer focus upon? Perhaps zooming in on the crowds of people more, or emphasizing the building facades more? It just doesn't seem as though you've focused upon a particular aspect of the scene.
