Nov 24 - Shrimpby hajekaComment: I like the blown white area of this. Gives it a really "stockish" feel like something I'd see in a cooking magazine.
Also, I'm now craving shrimp... |

Why???by jomariComment: Ha- no, it's not just you...
Before I even looked at the title I was thinking the same thing. I don't even understand it... did she catch and wrestle the fish while scuba diving? I'd like to think I wouldn't look so nonplussed if I did the same. |

the Monadic Disjunctby myceliumComment: I'm curious as to if you were aware of this image before shooting
It's always interesting to me to see how we, as photographers, solve problems in the same fashion and inadvertently replicate each other, and how we each do things differently. I didn't vote (since I entered), but immediately thought of that photo.
What is it that didn't turn out to your expectations about the shot? |

Taken by the Seaby APComment: I think I like your entry more than the other version. It's got more punch in the memorial itself, and I like the reflection on the water. The composition also focuses more on the memorial itself, whereas in the alternate, it's secondary to the landscape. |

Let goby wiesenerComment: I wanted to come back and look at this to see the details (my curiosity got the best of me). For me, the fact that it's another artist's piece detracts slightly, but not for the most part. To me, I think you have created your own depiction, your own interpretation. I think I like the bw more than color, as well. The red would strike me as too vibrant, lively, for the message. The weight would be lessened in my eye. Good job, and bummer it didn't score higher. |

One Laneby JuliBocComment: This is an interesting bit of a sign. I particularly like what appears to be blue. I know it's just caused by the reflection on black, but it's cool looking. |

...by beneeComment: This is really cool. The near calm water is sorta spooky, and the featureless sky adds to that. Sweet photo. |

11th Hole, Starboard Course, The Captainsby Bear_MusicComment: Definitely a very nice looking golf course. For some reason, I've a hard time picturing you golfing... just wasn't ever something I thought you'd partake in for some unknown reason. I like how enclosed the course is with the trees; the lighting on them is really splendid, nice and warm, the end of leaves. |

Bolkesjø Hotelby TrollManComment: Oh I love snowscapes like this. Can't wait for the winter to really get going here! We got our first snow in my town the other day, a few weeks later than is typical. Your shot reminds me of the high country up here, where everything is always dusted with snow and the skies are super clear. Gorgeous country you have there. |

A farewell to fallby libertyComment: I really love the warm tones of this, and the sparseness of the subject matter. Very cool. (not voting, fellow entrant) |
