The Particle and the Waveby jcolosiComment: A nice shot, and conveys your meaning well. Lighting is a touch flat, and the sky quite noisy. Not sure if it was a misty morning/evening, or if you just had to be zoomed in a bit too much, but the lighthouse suffers from a lack of contrast and sharpness. |

Desperationby dartompkinsComment: Message in a bottle. Problem for me is, the message you're giving is that the bottle is secondary to the shot, and of little importance. The out of focus, blurry waves (and flat lighting), occupy too much of this photo and leave the viewer (AKA me), wanting more. |

Best communication tool of a deafby alithenakeComment: hand looks a little soft and blurred. Perhaps you were trying to capture it in motion, to simulate signing? Doesn't quite work for me. I would have liked to have seen the texture of the surface more evenly throughout, as it's pretty blown-out on the left, and would have looked lovely. |

Zombieby moviemanComment: Perhaps you meant to go with the lighting scheme here, but it really doesn't work for me. The hand is too soft, and the remote control is hard to see. When you want your viewer focused on something, it's hard for them to respond if it's buried in the background. Also, for me, just a little weak on "communication" |

Our "EYE" captures and conveys our ideasby klementComment: It's a wonderfully abstract piece.. but I'm just not catching the spirit of the challenge here, despite the title. I think still cameras just aren't very strong on the "communication" level. My opinion though. |
