rollin'by raishComment: Nice technicals on the pan. I think the backdrop here is too busy to be effective. The tonality seems to be a little muted or off in some way. |

The Art of Streetby RobynKComment: I like all the shadowplay here. Not sure the partial desat (natural or photoshop) works here. The man seems too still and is out of place. |

Neighborhoodby AmmieComment: Interesting interpreation of the challenge, that may not really meet it. I love the tones and texture. The diagonals of the hills and the horizon are very nice. |

The Gossip Stop by jagarComment: Very nice. Each grouping tells a stor as the recide into infinity. Not sure who declared letterbox borders a fashio statement, but I find is detracts from an excellent photo. |

child's playby posthumousComment: I like it, as it is playful and moody at the same time. Seems not to really fit most definitions of street photography. |

Wake Up People Are Watching!by Jon_HComment: Nicely seen and shot. Not sure I like the lady's odd expression as well as her lack of connection with the two sleepers. The border is disctracting, go with something simple and let your photograph speak rather than the border. |

Entranceby jjbeguinComment: Nice outline of the man and details on the building. Having trouble making the street connection. |

Waiting for the Weekendby illini75Comment: I like the foregraound machine vs. the background man. Perhaps one too many textures in the scene. The man's face is hard to make out and there is a slight tilt to the scene. |

Each to His Ownby gg3rdComment: Nicely seen and captured. Did you try B&W as the color here is a bit overpowering and detracts from the story. |

Up a Creekby Yo_SpiffComment: Rust and beer/bait signs -- how can you go wrong. I like the colors and all the texture in the car. The image is however very busy and the eye just wanders all over the place without really having something to stop on. For a camera phone and this scene, I think you get what you get. With your DSLR it may have been worth zooming in on the front left of the car with a partial defocus of the Beer sign in the background. You could experiment with all the unique viewpoints to change it from a standard framed shot to something out of the ordinary. |
