Color changes everything by primabarbaraComment: Love it. This really works well. I am guessing this a setup but it so cool with the blurry people. Maybe have the camera tilted a tad higher and get catch the the middle walkers further up the stairs and not so close together. |

Yes. It was hit. I am pretty sure the ball was already hit and is moving away from him at this moment. I was at 10 fps, which is still not fast enough to know for sure. My camera can do 30 fps but the rolling shutter makes the ball and bat distorted. |

With newer cameras and denoise software I worry less about high ISO and just speed up the shutter speed! A sunny day helps as well. I think the slight blur on the ball is DOF and not shutter speed, but could be a little of both as the ball is probably moving 80-90 mph off the bat. |

Odysseyby MelethiaComment: Very nice. I like all the textures and tones. The purple and the figure give it an other worldly feel. Kind of confused about the wing -- seems like there should be a 2nd one as well or none. |

Thanks. I watched a bunch of sports photography YouTube videos to refresh my memory prior to the spring sports season. Several of them stated to keep shooting after the play was over to get reactions and celebrations. I was focusing on the runners that scored and panned over to the bench and this just sort of happened. Preparation and hard work can produce "luck" some times. |

Between the Linesby ExposureTherapyComment: Cool concept here. All the repeating lines are fun to look at. Perhaps crop off the bottom third and see if you like that better. |

Above the Noiseby markwileyComment: Nice colors and great composition with the tower centered. Seems like the blur has an odd transition, perhaps it was added in post? |

Life In The Fast Laneby BaldurTComment: Zero comments always sucks.
Sorry this one placed so low. I gave it a 7 as I really like the colors and the motion blur really adds to the sense of speed of the race. |

Unsettledby markwileyComment: Nicely caught moment in time. B&W works well here with nice tones. Not sure what her expression conveys, so it does not really speak to me. |

A Grave Matterby posthumousComment: Nice closeup with all the cracks and lichen. The sunlight looks a bit harsh here and somewhat washes out the texture. Might be worth trying as the B&W and see if you like it. |
