I like the contrast here with the white/biege areas on the bottom and the dark trees on the left. However, the folige is kind of lost in the white highlights and is not really as interesting as the other parts of the image.

I like all the colors and the crazy patterns going on here. Not sure that the focus is sharp enough, this could just be the most detail you could get with the DPC file size.

Encroaching upon Architecture

I like the color palette here with all the muted tones. The sky and building (HDR?) go great together. The composition may have worked better centered, as putting the building off center look awkward to me since htere is not added on the left by doing so. The high power lines are kind of ugly, but I am not sure if the rules would let you clone out that much.

I like the colors and the patterns you have achieved here. I applaud your use of narrow DOF, alhough in this instance, I think going a little wider and getting the edges of both leaves sharp may have been a more powerful image.

October Drive

The soft focus here is both good and bad. It gives the scene a neat kind of glow in the upper part of the trees which is very ethereal and majestic. However on the road and foreground it just looks kind of out of focus to me and out of place.

I like the composition here. Nice use of verticals on the trees and headstones. The focus does not seem to be crisp. The colors are a bit muted and do not provide a "wow" that is useful in these types of scenes.

Close inspection

Nice macro of a leaf. Perhaps a less centered and vertical composition would have given it more life. Also the brown edges seem to be drawing my eye from the nice details on the leaf. Perhaps a pretty leaf would be more appropriate to this kind of backdrop and lightng.

October Lake

Very nice composition with all the elements placed very well in the frame, especially the right hand tree balancing the left hand river. The overall color palette is a little muted and did not say wow to me.

Foliage to the Right

Nice out of focus areas with nice orange colors. The trail marker is not really all that photogenic of a subject and does not seem to compliment the softness of the background.

Iowa State Capitol

I like the round softness of the tree vs. the round hardness of the buildings. The colors look a bit washed out or something. It looks a little like halos around the trees and buildings.
