say CHEESE!by kellmak10Comment: Cute. You caught the horse in a nice moment. The harsh lighting is really hurting you here. Not much you could do about it but it does detract from the scene. |

Sunset Appreciationby MarfunComment: I like the quirky composition of this one with the poses of the people. I like how the sky frames the top part. However I am not sure what the subject or reason for the photo is, although the boy ignoring the others is kind of neat. One of the useful tips I have gotten from photo classes is that odd numbers resonate with people more than even. Here you have 4 people and 2 cars. |

Golden Mistby farraComment: I am of two minds on this images. From an artistic point of view the mist and the sunshine set a mood and make the photo interesting. On the other hand the muted colors and the featureless sky make it so that that interest is more fleeting than it could be. Perhaps if there were a zoom/view with more/larger siliouttes on the horizon it would have pumped up the sky. |

Simplicityby drew_makeanimpactComment: Not sure that I find this image all that appealing. The focus and lighting are well done. Her eyes do draw you in and make you want to see more, however the bottom half of the image is the brightest part (draws the eye) and unfortunately the least interesting part. The static straight on pose does not really add any pizazz to the image. Shooting at a angle might be more interesting or perhaps a close up of just her face. |

At the Wedding reception.by rooumComment: This is a hard image to comment on. I do like the B&W as the tones are really bright white and deep black. I assume that you were going for an artistic feel with the out of focus boy and with his eyes closed. However it does not really work for me. It just seems more odd than artistic. The tilt is also something that does not add to the photo. |

Lizzyby PaulComment: Portaits can easily just be snapshots, but this one really captures who she is and give a glimpse into her. The pose and focus is dead on and make the photo come to life. Her cheeks and forehead are a little blown out or over smoothed. Great shot. |

Last Light at Land's Endby SaraRComment: There is a lot going on the photo, perhaps too much, but I find myself drawn in to all the details. The contrast of the hard rocks and the soft surf is very nice. The touch of color from the sunset accents it perfectly. |

Face to Faceby Keith_WComment: Just wow. Nice sharp focus on the bugs face and legs. Great pose with some implied movement. |

Fire fightingby sarampoComment: Great silouette of the copter and the bucket. The orange tone imply both the sunset and the fire. I might have copped off the top 10-20% to get the copter closer to being on a third. Also I wish the shot were taken a 1 second later to remove the overlap of the bucket and the sun. Overall a very powerful image |

Allsaints on Broadwayby jbrobesonComment: I can not decide whether this is odd in an "artistic" sense or odd in a "it does not work for me" sense. Looks like a long shutter speed to get the motion blur, but also the focus is a bit soft as well. I do like the people and the maninkans, but the whole upper half of the photo seems unneeded. Perhaps crop it to a panled view on just the bottom half (just a smidge above top of the doors) would end up being a much stonger photo. |
