Action Shot IIby MayaMComment: A sound shot over-smoothed by noise reduction software. Don't be afraid of some texture - it's OK - really!
I'd prefer to see the bike right of frame with more wake though. |

Fair playby eikiComment: He needs to go to boot camp for that dive - or play some rugby! Good snap. |

zenby JPRComment: Jason - you've been at this DPC thing for a while and it's about time you stopped caring about the scores!! If you like this for its zen quality then who else matters? Ok, it's a competition, but part of it is also having the conviction to submit your interpretation - and for the record I like this lots. Whether it's zen I don't know because everyone has their opinion on what it is (judging by my score at least) - and unless one swats up on the photographic definition of it and applies this is their priciple for voting.
Anyway, I've stopped babbling now you'll be glad to read...

stand on itby SkipComment: Good gritty panning shot. Tough to get, but you nailed it. Particularly good to get board and rider in focus. Crop's a a tad tight, but hey. |

Take Offby ElliottjmsComment: Well caught indeed with some interesting blur. I know how tough this is to get so hats off to the take off. |

Stella's Posada for the Winby rkligmanComment: Well caught. For a horse though I prefer a panning shot at slower shutter speed to catch the vigour of the movement. Frozen, they can sometimes look a little gangly unless at full tilt with all legs off the ground and mud kicked up. Crop is bit tight, but I find that the 640 pixel contsraint can sometimes make one go for an unnatural crop just to get detail. |

Methodby xcharrierComment: Great composition and captured tail grab. If I was picking nits I would probably prefer to see the rider in an open stance, but this is neat. |

Quarrelby thesonComment: Nicely observed - good one. Viscious birds at times, sea gulls. |

Green Shieldby mrmorrisComment: Excellent view of a cute little insect - I love these little fellas. DOF is almost uncomfortably narrow, but without tripod and less shutter speed you won't get better. |
